Hyderabad: Speeding Ferrari car kills pedestrian

HYDERABAD: A speeding Ferrari car mowed down a pedestrian walking on footpath in Madhapur on Sunday. The pedestrian died on the spot. The victim, Yesu Babu, 50, a watchman at a newly-constructed apartment building was walking on the footpath when a speeding sports car dashed him at 100 Feet Road at 3.15 pm.According to police, the victim died on the spot, while another pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the accident. The accused, Naveen Kumar Goud, driver of the Ferrari, was travelling from Jubilee Hills towards Madhapur when the accident occurred. Police rushed to spot and took the accused into custody and shifted the victim's body to Osmania General Hospital for an autopsy. A case has been registered against the offender, said police. The deceased is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. The family had moved from East Godawari District of AP to Hyderabad a few years ago.
